Azalea slams Eminem for lyrics
Iggy Azalea has hit back at Eminem after apparently being the target of his latest song.
An excerpt from new track Vegas, from the 42-year-old rapper's upcoming SHADYXV album, has been leaked online, where the Slim Shady star reportedly raps: "Put that s*** away, Iggy. You don't wanna blow that rape whistle on me."
Iggy tweeted: "im bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. zzzz."
The 24-year-old Australian singer continued: "its especially akward (sic) because my 14 year old brother is the biggest eminem fan and now the artist he admired says he wants to rape me. nice!"
The song also name checks Nicki Minaj, and comes after Eminem - whose real name is Marshall Mathers - talked about punching Lana Del Rey in the face during a freestyle rap caught on video.
Iggy also added: "women in music have the bigger balls anyhow we endure much more harassment and critic."
Iggy, who will be singing with Jennifer Lopez at the American Music Awards on November 23, also denied rumours they have been asked to tone down their performance.
"Im not sure if the "executives" are "worried" about me and jlos performance. lol. i haven't even been to a rehearsal for it yet so.... 0.0," she wrote.
The pair famously appeared in a raunchy video for J-Lo's song Booty, wearing high-cut swimming costumes, and got fans hot under collar when they performed the song together at the We Can Survive Concert in October.
