Belfast band Levity Breaks recipients of Bushmills Live Legacy Fund

Northern Ireland indie rockers Levity Breaks are this year's recipients of the second annual Bushmills Live Legacy Fund.

The Belfast band were chosen for the £5,000 grant by Bushmills Irish Whiskey and local artist development company Third Bar, run by Davy Matchett and Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody.

In addition to the fund, the organisers of Bushmills Live also provide a stage for established and emerging indie talent. Lightbody and Matchett will curate the fund and work with Levity Breaks to offer advice on how to invest the money.

As part of the fund, Levity Breaks will perform at this year's Bushmills Live on June 12, alongside headliners The 1975 and Lightbody's side project, Tired Pony.

Davy Matchett said: "This band is a great example of the brilliant Northern Ireland music talent at the moment."
