Belsonic 2018: Richard Ashcroft confirmed as special guest for Liam Gallagher gig
Nineties nostalgia will be in full force this summer as Richard Ashcroft has been confirmed as a special guest performer for Liam Gallagher's headline Belsonic gig.
The former frontman of The Verve will support the ex-Oasis star at Ormeau Park in Belfast on June 16.
Richard Ashcroft’s latest album These People was released in 2016.
It was the first new album in six years from the Brit and Ivor Novello award winning and Grammy nominated artist.
The Verve were best known for hits The Drugs Don't Work and Bitter Sweet Symphony.

Also announced to be performing at the outdoor gig is Liverpool's rising star Louis Berry.
His song Restless gained huge acclaim last year, while his debut track .45 was named Radio 1’s Hottest Record in the World.
Meanwhile, Gallagher released his debut solo album As You Were in October. The record went straight to Number 1 in the UK & Ireland.
