Carly Rae Jepsen set for future

Carly Rae Jepsen says she's not going to "freeze" under the pressure of recording a follow-up to Call Me Maybe.

The 26-year-old singer has been snapped in a pair of tiny tie-dye shorts and silver trainers filming her latest video in New York.

She told ABC's Nightline: "My main concern is getting out an album that I feel really proud of.

"This is an opportunity I've been waiting (for) and hoping I would get in my life. I'm not going to freeze under the pressure. I'm hoping I can stand up to it."

But the Canadian star - who has been asked to support Justin Bieber on tour, after he helped shoot her to fame - said she didn't know why her signature song was so addictive.

"Someone told me once that good songs write themselves and you don't really have to do anything with it," she said. "I think that's how we feel about this one. We were kind of there and we don't know how it happened."
