DJ Fresh has told how he had hoped to work with Linkin Park for his upcoming third album.
The Hot Right Now musician - whose real name is Dan Stein - was in discussions with the US rockers, but the plans fell through when frontman Chester Bennington became a dad.
"We were talking about Linkin Park, about a collaboration, but that didn't happen because Chester just had babies. So it was difficult timings-wise," he said.
But the drum 'n' bass producer teased that a collaboration could be in the works: "Possibly. We're just doing a deal at the moment with one of the labels in the States so watch this space," he said.
Dan - whose new single The Power featuring Dizzee Rascal is out now - also admitted that he has been inundated with offers from musicians for his as-yet-untitled record.
"I've been amazed by how many people have approached us and offered us material," he continued.
"My next album is an expansion of my song-writing side and there are some interesting collaborations with artists that I've been excited about working with for ages like Juliette Lewis, Rizzle Kicks, Professor Green and The Fray. It's the best project I've done so far," he said.
Having experimented with drum 'n' bass and dubstep, his new album is a mix of different genres.
"I've always wanted to challenge myself and try new things. The album is like a snapshot of my creative output, going from rock influences to electro dub-step and drum and bass," he added.
