Eminem disses Lana Del Rey in rap
Eminem has talked about punching Lana Del Rey in the face during a freestyle rap caught on video.
The 42-year-old star - whose real name is Marshall Mathers - posted a video of himself riffing online to promote his new compilation album Shady XV and his unpleasant lyric about Born To Die star Lana incurred the wrath of fellow singer Azealia Banks.
Eminem hits out at "one hit wonders" in the angry, expletive-filled, violent and derogatory rap, and also references Ray Rice, the NFL player currently suspended after footage emerged of him assaulting his fiancee.
In one verse, about four minutes into the seven-minute video, he says: "I may fight for gay rights, especially if they dyke is more of a knockout than Janay Rice/ Play nice? B**** I'll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice, like Ray Rice in broad daylight in the plain sight of the elevator surveillance/ Til her head is banging on the railing, then celebrate with the Ravens."
Lana has not commented on the rap, but Azealia posted several angry tweets which she has now deleted.
She wrote: " @LanaDelRey tell him to go back to his trailer park and eat his microwave hotpocket dinner."
Lana has previously revealed she is a big fan of the rapper, telling RNBJunk in an interview in 2012: "When I found Eminem for the first time, he really changed my life because I didn't know that music could be intelligent.
"He was talking about his own life and he wasn't just rhyming over music just for rhyme's sake. He was really talking about the way that things were... Also, he's a genius... I love him."
Other female stars to be attacked by Eminem in his raps in the past include Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey.
