About 150,000 tickets for next year's Glastonbury sold out in 26 minutes

Tickets for next year's Glastonbury Festival have sold out in record time.

Tens of thousands of music fans were left disappointed after the £225 tickets were snapped up in just 26 minutes.

Emily Eavis, the daughter of Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis and co-organiser of the festival, tweeted: "We have sold out, thank you to everyone for supporting us and I'm sorry to those of you who have missed out."

See Tickets, the company selling the coveted passes, said: "Tickets sold out in record time - sorry to everyone who didn't get tickets. Small amount will be available next year in the resale."

The 150,000 tickets were bought up even before the festival line-up has been announced, but there are rumours Fleetwood Mac and Queen could headline next year.
