Ozzy Osbourne is to be honoured at this year's MTV Europe Music Awards.
The Black Sabbath frontman will pick up the Global Icon award, previously won by stars including Eminem and Whitney Houston, at the event in Glasgow next month.
Rocker Ozzy, who has sold more than 120 million albums as a solo act and with Black Sabbath, famously starred in an MTV reality show.
The fly-on-the-wall show made celebrities out of Ozzy, his wife Sharon and their children Jack and Kelly, who featured prominently in the programme filmed at the family's Los Angeles home.
EMA's executive producer Bruce Gillmer said: "Ozzy's impact on music and pop culture has been tremendous. For over four decades (and counting) he's entertained, influenced, inspired and sometimes shocked legions of die-hard fans around the globe."
This year's show is hosted by Nicki Minaj and features performances by Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran.
It will broadcast live on MTV on Sunday November 9.
