Jay-Z and Richards due at library

Keith Richards and Jay-Z are set to give talks on their life stories from New York Public Library.

Rolling Stones guitarist Keith will speak on October 29 at the library's main branch on 5th Avenue to promote his memoir, Life.

Jay-Z will also discuss his book, Decoded, on November 15.

While it might seem that a library is an unusual venue for the stars, former hellraiser Keith was recently reported to be an avid bookworm.

According to reports, he has taken immense pride in developing libraries inside his homes in Sussex and Connecticut and once considering 'professional training' to manage his huge collection of books.

In his autobiography, which is due out in October, it has been claimed that the 66-year-old will talk about how he developed a love of reading while growing up in the suburbs of London following the Second World War and before discovering music.

New York Public Library has hosted musicians before, including members of the Velvet Underground and David Byrne of Talking Heads.
