The Prodigy have remembered Keith Flint a year after his death, saying that his “light blazes strong”.

The band’s much-loved frontman was found dead at his home in Essex on March 4 last year at the age of 49.

A post from The Prodigy’s official Twitter account shared by band members Liam Howlett and Maxim said: “One year has gone by since you left us, we miss you everyday man, your light blazes strong.

“You will always be here with us coz as you know – WE LIVE FOREVER…!

“Stay Punk brother, Forever in our hearts, Liam and Maxim x #theprodigy #raisetheroof #weliveforever.”

Fans of the late singer took to social media to pay their respects to him, with one writing: “One year ago today we lost Keith Flint. His presence on stage was like no other.

“Will never forget you. Sleep well brother xx.”

Another tweeted: “One year ago today. I shall be blasting The Prodigy this morning, and remembering.

“I still wish that I could get away with that hair style. #KeithFlint.”

One fan wrote that he was “the loveliest human being” while using the hashtag #keef, a nickname of Flint’s.

The singer rose to fame in the Brit Award-winning electronic band in the 1990s and was known for hits including Firestarter and Breathe.

The Prodigy released their latest album, No Tourists, in November 2018, their seventh consecutive number one record.

Flint was found hanged and had unspecified amounts of cocaine, alcohol and codeine in his system.
