Kylie takes on George for top spot
Kylie Minogue and George Michael will be doing battle this weekend to win the number one spot in the Official Albums Chart.
The Voice judge is vying for number one with the former Wham! star in a chart race that looks like a throwback to the 80s and 90s.
George has released Symphonica, his first full-length album in nearly 10 years, while Kylie's Kiss Me Once comes four years after her last album of new material, 2010's Aphrodite.
The midweek charts have shown that George is ahead by around 8,500 sales so far, leaving Kylie currently in second position, according to the Official Charts Company.
Reigning album chart toppers Elbow have slipped to fourth place with The Take Off And Landing Of Everything, Pharrell Williams remains at three with G I R L, and Paloma Faith's A Perfect Contradiction is currently at number five.
Meanwhile in the singles chart, Duke Dumont is on course for a second number one with I Got U featuring Jax Jones, which samples Whitney Houston's My Love Is Your Love and is a follow up to last year's chart topper Need U 100%.
Previous number one single Tsunami (Jump) from Dvbbs and Borgeous featuring Tinie Tempah has dropped to number five in the midweek charts.
Route 94's My Love is still at number two, John Legend has climbed to three with All Of Me and Little Mix's Sport Relief single, a cover of Cameo's Word Up, looks set to enter the chart at number four.
The charts will be announced on BBC Radio One's Official Chart Show with Jameela Jamil on Sunday from 4pm.
