Music gigs at old Belfast Telegraph building will go ahead following fire
A number of concerts scheduled to take place at the old Belfast Telegraph building will go ahead despite a fire overnight, organisers have said.
Police are investigating a fire at the site early on Thursday morning.
The blaze erupted in the first floor of the empty Royal Avenue building at around 3.30am.
Two crews were sent to the scene, however, it became apparent further resources were needed and in the end eight crews tackled the fire.
Following the incident, Shine Belfast released a statement assuring music fans any planned gigs would go ahead.
The post read: "As you may be aware, there has been a small fire overnight at the offices adjoining The Telegraph Building - however our events space remains unaffected.
"The Dusky event tomorrow night, as well as all of our other scheduled events, will be going ahead as planned."
German dance group Scooter will also be performing at the venue in May.
