Old Belfast Telegraph site to host series of music events

A series of live music events will take place at the old Belfast Telegraph building in the coming months.

The Telegraph Building - a 19th Century printing warehouse in Belfast’s city centre - will be developed into a multi-purpose venue for a number of cultural events, including hosting live music and world renowned DJs.

Organisers said they are aiming to preserve the "raw and authentic feel" of the building while "appreciating its tremendous scale and historic significance".

The site will be developed to accommodate sound, lighting and AV infrastructure in order to serve it's new purpose.

The first event will kick off at the former Belfast Telegraph printing press on Saturday, 30 September.

Shine will host a number of well-known stars including Len Faki, who returns to Belfast following a sold out headline show at The Limelight in 2016.

Joining him in the main print room is Blawan, the UK producer who has just announced his first solo release of 2017, as well as local name Phil Kieran providing the opening set.

Non-Plus Records' Boddika holds down the second space with support from Belfast duo Schmutz, upcoming techno producer Kapoor and Manchester’s Meat Free resident Alice Woods.

Tickets go on sale from Friday, September 8 at 9am and are priced from £25.
