Katy Perry has promised to pull out all the stops for her upcoming American Music Awards performance.
The Roar singer is set open the AMA ceremony on November 24 with her new single Unconditionally and vowed she will step it up in what she believes is her first chance to open an awards show.
"You take that into consideration, that you are kind of like setting the tone for everyone in the evening, so you always bring out the big guns in the beginning," said the 29-year-old.
"I always seem to be flying in on something or coming out of something. I like to entertain the kids, I really do."
However, Katy said she didn't want to give away too much about the performance.
"Let's just say it's a beautiful narrative that I learned about upon my travels, actually - while I was in Japan. How about that? That would probably give you some insight into the stylings, I guess, of this performance coming up."
Pitbull will host the show and other performers will include Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Luke Bryan and One Direction.
Top nominees include Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake, who have five nominations each, while Robin Thicke, Rihanna and Florida Georgia Line have four each. Bruno Mars and Imagine Dragons are both up for three gongs.
