MTV darling and all-round pop princess Pixie Lott has said she can’t wait to perform in Belfast, telling the city’s music fans: “You guys know how to have a good time! Woohoo!”
The double European Music Awards (EMA) winner, who has signed up to sing at next week's Titanic Sounds concert, said: “I'm really looking forward to going back to Belfast!”
Joining the triple-platinum singer-songwriter will be Mercury Prize nominee Katy B, who will complete a five act line-up at the one-off MTV show on Friday, April 13.
Celebrating the opening of the Titanic Belfast attraction, the 16,000-capacity pop festival will also feature performances from hot hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks, global superstar Sean Paul and X Factor's Olly Murs.
MTV Presents Titanic Sounds also confirmed that, due to huge demand, further free tickets will be made available via Ticketmaster from 9am today.
Just six months after MTV shone the spotlight on Belfast with the star-studded EMAs, the concert will be broadcast across 63 MTV channels around the world, and on MTV UK’s music channels from May 5.
Double EMA winner Lott, whose single All About Tonight, from her second CD Young Foolish Happy, was a summer smash, will appear in Belfast fresh from Japan.
The R&B influenced singer-songwriter, who has built a following of millions of fans across the globe since her debut Mama Said catapulted into the top spot just two years ago, will unveil a typically high-energy, polished performance of tracks from her current chart-topping CD alongside favourites from debut, Turn It Up.
Katy B is renowned for her lyrical style and massive crossover appeal.
Although the event is free, a £5 administration charge is being applied to all tickets.
Due to the Easter holidays, it is advisable to book Ticketfast (print at home) tickets via the Ticketmaster website. If box office collection is chosen as an alternative, tickets must be collected from The Odyssey Box office by 3pm on Thursday, April 12.
