Rebecca Ferguson: I'm over Zayn!
Rebecca Ferguson declared her relationship with One Direction's Zayn Malik was "so last year" as she performed another sold-out date on her UK tour.
The Nothing's Real But Love singer - who finished as runner-up to winner Matt Cardle in The X Factor in 2010 - made the comment about her ex as she introduced her song Fairytale (Let Me Live My Life This Way), which is about crushes, during her one-off performance at London's Theatre Royal.
"I'm terrible at crushing. They always last for a year and then I think, 'Why did I fancy them?'" said the 25-year-old, who met Zayn on the ITV show.
When an audience member shouted out 'Zayn', she quipped: "That was so last year!"
The couple, who dated for around four months, faced controversy because of the six year age difference.
Watched by family members in the audience, Rebecca also gave her opinions on destructive relationships ("I've been in relationships like that and I think it shouldn't be like that") and her supportive family, friends and fans as she sang hits such as Shoulder To Shoulder, Glitter And Gold and Too Good To Lose.
She also performed her renditions of Drake and Rihanna's Take Care, and Sam Cooke's A Change Is Gonna Come during the hour-long set.
The one-off London show was part of her headlining Heaven tour, which started in February and included three dates in her hometown of Liverpool.
