Rihanna's Twitter tribute to granny
Rihanna has mourned the loss of her beloved grandmother Clara Braithwaite on Twitter.
The Talk That Talk star - who performed at Swedish music festival Peace And Love hours after receiving the sad news - revealed her heartbreak on the social networking site after Clara, who was nicknamed Dolly, lost her fight with cancer on June 30.
"Goodbye #grangranDOLLY get your beauty rest until I see you," she wrote.
The 24-year-old later posted a series of photos from her personal album. One showed Dolly posing in a cap, sunglasses and gold necklace, while others, which were taken from her bedside, showed the singer's close bond with her gran.
"My heart smiled and cried all at once #grangranDolly," Rihanna posted.
Rihanna's ex-boyfriend Chris Brown and his mother Joyce Hawkins also tweeted messages of condolences to the singer.
"Praying for family and the lost loved one. She was like my grandmother. Love you GRAN GRAN! RIP," wrote Chris.
His mum added: "@rihanna ANGEL MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY IN YOUR TIME OF SORROW. LOVE YOU ANGEL."
Rihanna was earlier criticised for her lacklustre performance at the festival in Borlange, where she appeared 45 minutes late on stage and dedicated a song to neighbouring Norway instead of Sweden.
