Rocker Robert Plant will perform in Belfast and Dublin later this year, it has been announced.

The singer will perform at Belfast's Ulster Hall on Saturday, December 2 before heading to Dublin's Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on Sunday, December 3.

Tickets for both shows go on sale on Friday, August 25 from 9am.

Plant has announced 15 tour dates in total, including gigs in London, Glasgow, and Manchester.

He will be supported on all tour dates by The Sensational Space Shifters.

'Carry Fire' will be Plant's eleventh solo album and first full-length release since 2014’s acclaimed record ‘lullaby and...The Ceaseless Roar’.

The iconic star said of his new release: “It’s about intention, I respect and relish my past works but each time I feel the trawl and incentive to create new work. I must mix old with new.

"Consequently, the whole impetus of the band has moved on its axis somewhat, the new sound and different space giving way to exciting and dramatic landscapes of mood, melody and instrumentation."
