James Brown's classic Sex Machine track is the number one dance floor filler of all time, according to a new survey.
More than 2,000 festival-goers, clubbers and dance fans were asked what makes them get up and strut their stuff.
Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine, often known as just 'Sex Machine', by Brown, the 'Godfather of Soul', defeated all challengers to the crown with 26% of the votes. The funk song was recorded in 1970.
Number two, with 13%, is the 1990s classic Groove Is In The Heart by dance group Deee-Lite, while Martha & The Vandellas are at number three with Dancing In The Street, voted for by 11% of respondents.
In at fourth and fifth place respectively are the Donna Summer classic, I Feel Love (10%), and The Bee Gees disco track Night Fever (9%), which first appeared on the soundtrack to the 70s movie Saturday Night Fever.
The survey was conducted by electronic music festival GlobalGathering, which takes place on Friday and Saturday at Long Marston Airfield, Stratford-Upon-Avon.
