Slane 2015: Foo Fighters fans have some fun during garda safety announcements

By Gary Fennelly

After 70,000 rain-soaked fans had watched the Foo Fighters, Hozier and Co Down band Ash rock Slane Castle, some of the crowd decided to have a little fun during Garda safety announcements.

As revellers made their way towards the exit they decided to echo the instructions the female garda was making on her loudhaler.

"Take your time, move slowly, do not rush," they repeated.

The crowd then began a chant of 'one more time' and the garda, clearly amused, honoured the request to rapturous cheers and clapping.

The incident was captured by Conor Steenson in the YouTube video below.

Despite the bad weather Lord Henry Mountcharles said: "I don't think it is an exaggeration to say it was one of the best Slanes ever. I am happy but exhausted."

Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl said the gig was "one of the most beautiful experiences of my entire life … you have yourselves a very beautiful country here."
