U2 have no new album on horizon
U2 will not release a new studio album in 2011 and they may never release the "club-sounding" LP they recorded last year.
While this month sees the release of Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark featuring 14 songs written by U2's Bono and The Edge for the soundtrack of troubled Broadway musical Spider-Man, other musical projects by the group have been put on hold.
These include the companion record to their last album No Line On The Horizon that Bono promised two years ago, but which isn't expected now to hit the shops until late 2012.
In less than two weeks U2 will play one of the landmark concerts on their 360 Tour when they take to the massive Pyramid stage at the Glastonbury music festival on June 24.
