Van Morrison's drive to raise cash for hospice
Blues fans are in for a treat.
Belfast singer-songwriter Van Morrison will be performing two intimate gigs at the 17th International Guinness Blues on the Bay Festival next month.
Organisers revealed that Van the Man is donating any profits from the gigs at Warrenpoint Town Hall to the Southern Area Hospice Services.
The eldest son of the legendary Muddy Waters, Mud Morganfied, is also on the line-up at this year's event which runs from May 20-25.
Festival co-ordinator Ian Sands said Morrison and Morganfield will be "a huge draw for music fans from all over the world". He added: "We shall be coming back in the near future to tell you lots more about this year's Blues on the Bay Festival, but in the meantime keep an eye on the festival websites to hear about all the buzz."
