Watch: Country star Nathan Carter gets ready for Dalriada Festival

Country music star Nathan Carter is set to headline the Dalriada Festival at Glenarm Castle for a fourth time next month.

The Wagon Wheel singer will perform at the Co Antrim venue on Friday, July 14.

"It's one of my favourite festivals," he said. "I have done it three times now and I'm delighted to be coming back again.

"It's set in the historic and beautiful Glenarm Castle which is an unbelievable venue.

"There's a great line-up this year so, fingers crossed, it's going to be a great couple of days."

The festival - which runs from Friday July 14 through to Sunday July 16 - attracted over 30,000 people last year.

It's now recognised as Northern Ireland's largest cultural and heritage festival, featuring a wide variety of sporting, music and culinary events.

The Fureys and the Dublin City Ramblers will be appearing on the Saturday evening.

For the children Peppa Pig and her brother George from the popular children's TV show will be appearing for 'meet and greet' sessions on both the Saturday and Sunday.

With Nathan also set to headline the Harvest Country Music Festival in Enniskillen and Westport in August, the singer says he is looking forward to a busy summer.

"I never dreamt that six or seven years ago I'd be standing here today having played to a sold out crowd at the SSE Arena in Belfast and the 3Arena in Dublin," he said.

"Things have gone extremely well for me and I've been very lucky that the fans have followed me and stuck with me all the way, and I'm hoping forward to another great summer."

He added: "I'm currently on tour all over Ireland and the UK and I'm delighted to say we're doing a few good festivals this year.

"I've just finsihed my brand new album, it's out on the June 16. I've got a new single from it called Caribbean Feeling with a new video coming out for that over the next few weeks as well."
