Watch: Emotional moment seriously ill Belfast woman communicates using Adele's music

Adele fan Toni Watson amazingly responded to her family using her idol's music, after having major surgery which left her unable to speak.

Toni, 22, from Dundonald, Belfast was born with a genetic disorder, Turner syndrome, and has had to undergo a series of heart operations throughout her whole life.

Last month she had a major 16 hour surgery at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast to stretch a heart valve.

Toni (24) suffered multiple strokes and her family were told to prepare for the worst.

The family of Toni Watson (pictured) have asked superstar Adele for a personal message to give hope to the Dundonald girl, who suffered a series of strokes while recovering from heart surgery

However, incredibly she pulled through and following the surgery was able to mouth the words to Adele's Rolling In The Deep when it was played to her in hospital.

Her family have launched a social media campaign to ask Adele to record a personal greeting for Toni, with her cousins Lisa and Claire McQuillan creating a Facebook page to help their cause.

'No Ordinary Girl', named after Toni's blog, is campaigning to get the hashtag #AdeleHelpToni trending on Twitter and hoepfully catch the attention of the singer.
