Wu-Tang Clan: Our crazy new project
Wu-Tang Clan have revealed they have been in in the recording studio together - but it's not for their own album.
The New York-based hip-hop group, consisting of eight members including RZA, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah, have been collaborating with D-Block on a new album, expected out later this year.
Ghostface Killah, whose real name is Dennis Cole, said: "We were in the studio last week. It's a Wu-Block project that we're doing - it's like D Block mixed with Wu-Tang and it's going to be crazy. It's going to be out in September."
Ghostface, bandmate Raekwon (also known as Corey Woods) and their tour DJ, DJ Symphony, were at the European premiere of Ice-T's directorial debut, Something From Nothing: The Art Of Rap.
DJ Symphony said he had to keep the details about the upcoming collaboration under wraps.
"I can't tell you those details. But it's going to be a really nice album, it's going to be whole lotta noise. I heard some of the tracks and it's going to be bananas so the album is going to be pretty good," he revealed.
Raekwon teased that the group could be reuniting for some new music to mark their 20th anniversary.
"We are all scattered out right now, doing solo things at the moment, but you will definitely hear something from us really soon. Next year will be our 20 years in the business so you'll see," he hinted.
