X Factor singer Lloyd Daniels ‘lucky to be alive’ after crash

Former X Factor contestant Lloyd Daniels has been involved in a horrific car crash — just five weeks after passing his driving test.

The 17-year-old Welsh singer — who made it to the final five in last year's show — was knocked unconscious and suffered whiplash, bruising and burns in the smash in his new Mini.

The £13,000 vehicle was written off in the crash in London just after dropping off fellow X Factor singer Lucie Jones at a Tube station last week.

Lloyd was taken to hospital for X-rays — and is described as being lucky to be alive. He was recovering yesterday at his family home in Treharris, South Wales.

He was forced to cancel a gig in Shropshire because of his injuries.

However Lloyd posted a message on Twitter reassuring his fans saying: “Thanks for the support guys.

“I didn't want to worry you all myself because I knew you'd panic. Thanks again.”
