Northern Ireland artist Lilla Vargen announces Belfast gig and brand new single
Co Antrim singer-songwriter Lilla Vargen has today released her brand new single and announced gigs in the UK and Ireland.
The music video released alongside the single, Why Wait, highlights the Homeless Crisis in the Republic of Ireland.
Vargen said: “My family worked with the council helping put together packs for people who were sleeping rough,” she recalls.
“You see things that are quite hard, but you also learn the most amazing things just from talking to people, and they’re so glad to have these conversations."
She added: "It’s difficult to imagine how hard it must be sitting there on the streets day by day, with everyone avoiding you.”
Vargen, from Ballymena, has spent the past months working on the We Were Thunder EP, set for release via Futurekind on November 29.
