Star George Michael denies drug allegations
George Michael has said he is "perfectly fine" after describing new allegations about drug taking as "highly inaccurate''.
The story, which appeared in a Sunday newspaper, is "incorrect'' and the matter is now in the hands of lawyers, a spokeswoman said.
Michael posted on his Twitter account: "To my lovelies, do not believe this rubbish in the papers today by someone I don't know any more and haven't seen for nearly 18 years.
"I am perfectly fine and enjoyed Wimbledon like the rest of you. Wish it went to five sets though!
"Lots of love, The Singing Greek xxx"
His spokeswoman said: "We have no further comment as the matter is now in the hands of Mr Michael's lawyers."
