The Vamps are to bring their 10-year anniversary tour to Belfast later this year, it’s been announced.
The boy band will mark a decade that has included five album releases, global gigs and festivals playing to over two million people and over six billion streams, with a Greatest Hits Tour of the UK and Ireland.
The tour will kick off in Manchester in November and will see the Can We Dance pop stars travel to 11 different cities, including Belfast’s SSE Arena on Monday, December 5, 2022.
The four-piece will be in Belfast this Sunday, supporting Picture This at Ormeau Park as part of Belsonic, but the December gig will be a headliner.
To commemorate their anniversary, The Vamps are also releasing a special fanzine compiled by the fans and the band on October 14.
From posting videos in 2012 on YouTube that brought the British group together to multiple arena tours and number one albums, The Vamps have enjoyed a whirlwind decade.
They became the first band to headline the O2 in London five years in a row and have collaborated with Shawn Mendes, Bruno Mars and Demi Lovato. They also created their very own festival, The Vamps Weekender in Barcelona.
Speaking on Thursday as they launched the tour, the band said: “It’s crazy to think what started in our bedrooms and Tristan’s parent’s garage led to us headlining arenas all around the world.
“The past 10 years have been an incredible journey but what makes it even more special is that it has felt like a shared one between us and our fans.
“The Vamps have taken us across all five continents and given us the privilege of playing in front of millions of people.
“These five albums are chapters in our lives and moments we are hugely proud of. This last year has been one of reflection for us and as four best friends who’ve had the chance to live out our dreams, we now can’t wait to celebrate these memories with you all.”
The band will perform all the hits at the SSE Arena in Belfast on December 5. Tickets are on sale from July 1 at https://singularartists.ie/show/the-vamps/
