Top 5 songs from The Stone Roses ahead of Belfast gig

The Stone Roses take to the stage at Belfast's SSE Arena on Tuesday in what's sure to be an unmissable gig.

To celebrate the Manchester icons playing in the city, here's a list of their tops 5 tracks that will no doubt be on any devoted fan's favourites list.

1. I Wanna Be Adored

This track was released in the US in 1989 and in the UK in 1991. It is the first song on The Stone Roses' self-titled debut album.

2. I Am The Resurrection

This closing track from The Stone Roses' debut album is eight minutes long and reached number 33 in the UK charts when it was released in 1992.

With a four minute musical outro, I Am The Resurrection was placed at number 10 on Q Magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks.

3. Sally Cinnamon

Released in 1987, Sally Cinnamon was The Stone Roses' second single.

Written by frontman Ian Brown, the track reached number three in the UK indie charts, before it was re-released in 1989 and stayed in the UK Singles Chart for seven weeks.

4. Love Spreads

Love Spreads was the first single from The Stone Roses' second album Second Coming, reaching number two in the UK charts in 1994. This was the highest chart position of the band's career.

5. Fool's Gold

Arguably The Stone Roses' best known track, Fool's Gold was released in 1989 as a double A-side with What the World Is Waiting For.

This was the band's first top ten hit in the UK, peaking at number 8.
