Adam Thomas' home burgled while he sleeps

Adam Thomas revealed his car had been stolen on Twitter.

Emmerdale star Adam Thomas' home was recently targeted by burglars while he slept.

The former I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! contestant revealed to a fan on Twitter that he currently didn't have a car because it was stolen on Monday night (10Jul17), before explaining the situation to all of his followers.

"Someone came into my house last while we were sleeping and robbed my car keys and took my car ... don't make it easy for the nxt t**t (sic)," he wrote. "Police still haven't turned up they just rang me now... apologising they couldn't make it round (laughing emojis)."

Duncan Foster, who has directed more than 150 episodes of the soap, tweeted Adam asking if he was OK, as well as his fiancee Caroline Daly and their son Teddy, after the incident.

"True story sir everyone ok just the fact I got new tyres put on the night b4 (before),” Adam replied.

He revealed to another user that he did have security cameras but they were "still in the box" from Christmas, and told glamour model Rhian Sugden he was "not angry just disappointed" after she tweeted, "Same thing happened to me. Police turned up 13 hours later and said there's not much we can do now CHEERS."

His onscreen relative Michael Parr, who plays Ross Barton, made a joke to cheer Adam up by suggesting he was responsible for the burglary.

"Not the only thing I did while you were sleeping :)," he wrote, and Adam replied, "Never fail to put a smile on my face haha."

In June, the 28-year-old confirmed he was leaving the soap after eight "amazing" years as Adam Barton. It’s thought his exit will take place in early 2018.
