Aiden: Katie doesn't float my boat
Aiden Grimshaw has hit out at X Factor rival Katie Waissel, admitting there was no love lost between them.
The 18-year-old from Blackpool confessed he was shocked judge and programme boss Simon Cowell chose to save Katie, who has landed in the bottom two of the public vote in the singing competition four times now.
Aiden revealed that 24-year-old Katie had begged him not to dislike her as he was booted off the show .
He said: "She was very shocked, she's been in the bottom two millions of times now so she was just asking me not to hate her."
Asked if he did hate her, he said: "Hate's a strong word. She's not my favourite person in the world but I don't hate her. Some people you just don't get on with. There's always going to be someone that you meet in the world that doesn't really float your boat and she doesn't really float my boat."
Aiden hinted that Katie deserved her drama queen reputation.
Asked to elaborate, he said sarcastically: "Oh no not at all, she's a walk in the park."
The young singer admitted he was perplexed at Simon choosing to save Katie.
"I was a little bit surprised," he said. "But it is an entertainment show... though I don't see where the entertainment's coming from 'cause she's not doing that well. But he voted for her and everyone's got their own personal preference and he had his and I respect that."
Asked if he felt Katie deserved to remain in the competition, he said: "I don't really care. Let's not talk about Katie - she gets enough attention, let's move on."
