Aiken remain coy over Garth Brooks Irish gig rumours

Aiken Promotions are maintaining that rumours of Garth Brooks announcing three Irish gigs for next summer are false.

Reports have suggested the popular country music star will perform concerts in Dublin, Limerick and Cork.

However a spokesperson for Aiken has said: "We have made no announcement in relation to Garth Brooks, and we've made no comment to the media. As far as we're concerned, nothing is scheduled."

The rumours come after Brooks cancelled five huge gigs at Dublin's Croke Park in 2014.

The singer pulled out of the sold-out shows after Dublin City Council only agreed to licence three of the gigs - a move that was welcomed by the Croke Park resident's association.

Brooks apologised to the thousands of people who had bought tickets for the gigs - promising to return to Ireland in the future.

Rumours of the new Irish dates surfaced after a source 'close to Garth's camp' reportedly confirmed he was keeping his promise.
