Alesha Dixon: 'It would be disastrous if Mis-Teeq reunion didn't happen'

Alesha Dixon was shocked by David Walliams' antics on the new series of Britain's Got Talent.

Alesha Dixon has admitted it would be "disastrous" if a Mis-Teeq reunion didn't happen.

The 38-year-old singer was one third of the eventual line-up for the girl group, alongside Sabrina Washington and Su-Elise Nash. The trio had hits with tracks such as All I Want, One Night Stand and Scandalous, before disbanding in 2005 to work on solo projects.

And now, with the current trend of '90s groups reuniting, the girls are considering giving the music business another go.

"We're talking, we love each other – we'd love it to happen one day," Alesha said when asked about the prospect of a reunion on ITV's Lorraine on Friday (07Apr17).

"It would be disastrous to not do something because the history we have together and the fact that, if it wasn't for the girls, I wouldn't be doing anything that I'm doing now.

"And I love them – so it'd be nice."

However, Alesha, who is being kept busy with her television commitments, solo career and fashion designing work, admitted it might be tough to find a time when she's free for a Mis-Teeq revival.

"Timing is key. At the moment, obviously I'm in the studio working on solo material and I'm working on some other things, so it's just finding that time to do it," she smiled.

Alesha will soon be seen back on the small screen for the next series of Britain's Got Talent (BGT), which sees her judge hopeful acts alongside Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Amanda Holden.

While programmes like The X Factor have seen a dip in popularity in recent years, Alesha promised BGT is as enjoyable as ever this time around.

"We’ve got some amazing acts, some great stories, all the Golden Buzzer acts are really strong," she added. "David is up to his usual tricks. He does something this year so outrageous even I was shocked – and that takes a lot. We’re (the judges) pushing each other a bit further every time. The closer you get the further you can go with each other and it’s OK, you can take it with a pinch of salt."

Britain's Got Talent returns to screens on ITV on 15 April (17) at 8pm.
