Amy Schumer enjoys 'dream day' on Judge Judy set
The star didn't get to meet Judge Judy herself, but had a ball with her bailiff.
Comedienne Amy Schumer has lived out her dream to become Judge Judy for a day after paying a visit to the TV lawmaker's set.
The Trainwreck star took to Instagram on Wednesday (10May17) to share photos from her day out with sister Kim Caramele, and expressed her excitement at meeting the reality show's bailiff, Petri Byrd.
Amy used the opportunity to take a seat in Judge Judy Sheindlin's chair as the veteran star was not in court, and tried to act out a scene from the hit legal series with Boyd, who is known for handing the lawmaker papers on the show without looking at her.
In video footage of the encounter, the actress pretended to be Judge Judy as she received a note from Byrd, but he failed to maintain to his usual demeanour, prompting Amy to quip, "Why are you looking at me?", causing the bailiff to burst into laughter.
"Dream day with @byrdman1157 and #judgejudy," she captioned the post. "he always does a no look pass with documents! Thank you for having me and my sis!!!"
Byrd uploaded a similar clip to his Instagram page, and dubbed Amy, "Her Funniness".
The comedienne also asked Byrd to pretend to separate her from her sibling as they appeared to lunge at one another while posing behind the lawyers' desks reserved for the plaintiffs and defendants, and posted the image online.
"Ay, yo, what up Byrd!" Amy wrote alongside the snap.
The star, who has been busy promoting her new movie Snatched, has made no secret of her love of Judge Judy in the past.
