Apprentice winner launches files
The Apprentice winner Tom Pellereau has unveiled his first business project since taking the title last year: a range of nail files designed long before he became Lord Sugar's latest protege.
The 32-year-old inventor's three files designed with an S shape will hit stores from this Sunday as part of his partnership with Lord Sugar.
He is the first Apprentice to have won £250,000 to invest in a business partnership with Lord Sugar. Previous winners have been given a £100,000 position within the multimillionaire business empire.
His Stylfile collection, the S-file, S-buffer and "emergency" S-file, features a curved design that "allows for easier filing and creates a smoother, curved finish".
He came up with the design in 2005 but Lord Sugar has previously said he was keen to redevelop the idea.
Tom said: "Since the Apprentice final I've been working night and day to create the Stylfile Collection.
"Working with Lord Sugar and benefiting from his experience in retailing, manufacturing and marketing has been invaluable. It has been the experience of a lifetime, and seeing my product on shelf is a dream come true."
Lord Sugar said: "Tom has worked diligently this past year at developing the Stylfile and getting it to market. He's done extremely well at turning a very good concept into three excellent products and getting them stocked with some of the biggest retailers in the country.
"There's been a lot of interest from my followers on Twitter asking me what Tom is up to. Well, now they know."
The range is available at selected stores from this Sunday and each file has a recommended retail price of £4.49.
