Ariana Grande naked photos leak: Pictures are fake, say representatives
Ariana Grande’s representatives have dismissed speculation that naked photographs of her leaked on the internet are authentic.
“The photos are completely fake,” a spokesperson told Buzzfeed of the images.
The American pop singer was one of over 100 names reportedly targeted by a mass hacking made possible by an alleged iCloud leak.
Among others the list includes Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Mary Kate Olsen, Cara Delevingne, Kate Bosworth, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst andKaley Cuoco.
A spokesperson for Lawrence has since confirmed the authenticity of the images and threatened those who published them with legal action.
“This is a flagrant violation of privacy,” they told Buzzfeed. “The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”
Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has since apologised for publishing a number of naked images.
“I acted in haste just to get the post up and didn't really think things through. I'm sorry,” he said.
“At work we often have to make quick decisions. I made a really bad one today and then made it worse. I feel awful and am truly sorry.”
