Atkinson: I'd return to jungle

Gemma Atkinson has said she would gladly return to I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The former Hollyoaks actress spent time in the Australian jungle in 2007, finishing fifth in the competition, and said she would be up for a second outing.

"It's one of the best things I ever did - it was such an experience and I would love to go back in," she said.

Gemma, who will be taking part in the Great Manchester Run next year, is backing former X Factor finalist Stacey Solomon to be crowned queen of the jungle.

"I'm rooting for Stacey at the minute. She's very genuine and she seems like a very nice girl, so I'm hoping Stacey does well," she continued.

And she felt sorry for Gillian McKeith, who has had to face her fears.

"Gillian, bless her. I feel a bit sorry for her because she's obviously a bit petrified but you know in advance what's going to be in the jungle, so maybe if you're that scared, you shouldn't go in."

Gemma advised the contestants to keep their chin up.

"The survival tip I had was, you need to keep thinking of people back home, because you do literally go insane in there," she said.

"Whenever you feel like you're going to snap at someone, I would walk off, go and sit on a rock and relax for a bit. Don't rise to any bait - just keep yourself to yourself and think of everyone back home."
