Baby joy for Westlife's Mark Feehily as he and his partner become 'happiest dads in the world'
Westlife singer Mark Feehily has welcomed his first child with fiance Cailean O'Neill.
Feehily and O'Neill, who have been together for five years, got engaged while on a romantic holiday in the Maldives in February this year.
The Irish singer songwriter announced the birth of his baby girl on Twitter on Thursday.
Sharing a picture of himself and O'Neill pushing the baby's cot down a hospital corridor, he wrote: "Baby Layla born safe & sound @ 7.27pm on October 1st 2019! We’re the happiest Dads in the world!"

Posting on social media, he said: "It makes this my most special birthday EVER to let everyone know that later this year we will become Dads for the first time.
"This is the proudest moment of our lives and we are beyond excited to say it out loud! M&Cx"

Cailean's identity was revealed shortly after their engagement. Up until then, Mark had kept details about his boyfriend private, saying that he was "quite shy" about making a red carpet appearance.
Speaking previously to The Mail on Sunday, Feehily said that he hoped to become a father before he turns 40.
"I am much happier now than I was at at 20. It is all good and well and good being young but I am happier and more settled, so I am in the best place I have ever been," he said.
"It is a very comfortable feeling. Things are getting better the older I get.
"I think people always associate getting older as a negative but I am enjoying it.
"I can't wait to be 40, hopefully I will be turning 40 the happiest man in the world with a family."
