David Baddiel has revealed his former partner Rob Newman turned down the offer of a reunion last year.

The pair sprang to fame as a double-act in the 1990s and at the height of their fame played a sell-out gig at Wembley Arena before splitting up.

Speaking backstage at the Loaded Lafta awards, David said: "I don't see him anymore sadly."

He went on: "I did a show for Sky just before Christmas, called Little Crackers, and I offered Rob a part in it but he didn't want it so I gave it to Alistair McGowan.

"Alistair McGowan was totally great but I think it would have been a nice opportunity to work with Rob again, but he obviously didn't want to work with me."
