BBC Radio Ulster star Lynette Fay ends up in A&E after getting carried away dancing to Hugo Duncan song

By Staff Reporter

Have you ever been so carried away by radio DJ Hugo Duncan's singing that you've ended up in A&E?

Well, that appears to be what happened to top BBC Radio Ulster presenter Lynette Fay this week.

The popular broadcaster told fans and social media followers she'd banged her head as the Strabane crooner was in rehearsals.

"Gave myself a thump on the head yesterday, 'dancing' while @ItsMeHugoD was rehearsing! Straight from red carpet to A&E #RadioUlster40", Lynette tweeted.

Worried friends, including public affairs consultant Patricia McBride, rushed to offer sympathy.

"Are you all right?" the former Victims Commissioner tweeted to the popular Blas Ceoil presenter.

Lynette, who has been working at the BBC since 2001, responded with a sad-faced emoji, saying: "Still sore m'dear.

"Didn't sleep a wink".

The Belfast Telegraph reached out to Lynette last night, wondering which of Hugo's songs had got her so carried away that she'd ended up in A&E.

But the bashful Dungannon woman just didn't want to talk about it.
