Gina Bellman has admitted she's "disappointed" her TV show Leverage hasn't taken off in the UK.
The actress plays conwoman Sophie Devereaux in the US series and although it has proved a big hit Stateside, she said it "hasn't quite caught on" in Britain.
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed that after four years it hasn't quite caught on here but there's that buzz now and I really feel that it's about to take off," she said.
Gina, who was born in New Zealand but moved to the UK in her teens, said it isn't that she wants to revel in the limelight.
She said: "I'm not somebody that tries to get press attention. I do it for the people who enjoy the programmes."
The 45-year-old, who revealed she rarely gets asked for an autograph when she's back home in England, went on: "I went and did a voiceover the other day and the guy I was doing it for was like, 'Oh, are you still acting?'.
"Part of me did want to tell him about this rather successful show I've been doing in America, and there is a slight feeling of wanting to shout it from the rooftops sometimes, but you just have to tell yourself that you get to do a job you love, with people you adore and writers you respect. I can't really complain!"
:: The third series of Leverage starts on Tuesday, February 7 on FX.
