Blunt - casting me was a 'mistake'
Emily Blunt can't believe she was chosen to front Yves Saint Laurent's perfume campaign.
As the new face of the luxury brand's Opium scent, the actress appears in sky-high heels in a TV ad in the hallways of an expensive-looking apartment, searching for a bottle of perfume which is guarded by a leopard.
But she told The Telegraph: "God, I'm so un-French in that trailer. I'm a woman, on a mission - er, in really high heels."
Asked why she thinks she was picked for the campaign, she joked ... "I don't know. I've no idea, there was no one else? They made a mistake, a terrible mistake."
It is the first time that The Devil Wears Prada star, 28, has fronted a beauty campaign, despite having previous offers.
"I think that I've been wanting to make sure that when I did it, it would be the right thing," she said.
"I'd been asked to do a couple of things but none were as classy as this. And I got to work with a leopard," Emily, who next stars opposite Jason Segel in The Five-Year Engagement, said.
