Call The Midwife - Helen George is pregnant!
Helen George is expecting her first child with Call The Midwife co-star Jack Ashton.
Helen George will soon be ready to Call The Midwife after revealing she's pregnant with her first child.
The 33-year-old actress, most famous for playing Nurse Trixie Franklin in the BBC series, debuted her large baby bump on the red carpet at the TV Choice Awards on Monday night (04Sep17).
Wearing a black asymmetric dress with a thigh-high split, Helen glowed as she posed for photographers alongside her baby daddy, and Call The Midwife co-star, Jack Ashton.
Call The Midwife's official Twitter account then confirmed the pregnancy news by retweeting a post from the TV Choice Awards, which read: "It's @CallTheMidwife1 with a very pregnant @helen_george plus @charritchie @Jackjashton."
Helen and Jack began to get romantic in April, when they were abroad shooting the Call The Midwife Christmas special. Their relationship came just months after the pretty blonde actress split from husband Oliver Boot last September, after three years of marriage.
Former Strictly Come Dancing star Helen has starred on Call The Midwife since its premiere in 2012, while Jack joined the show as Reverend Tom Hereward in series three.
The pair's characters were also romantically involved on the show, but split before Tom moved on to Nurse Gilbert, played by Charlotte Ritchie.
In an interview with the Daily Express back in 2013, Helen admitted she was in no rush to become a mother herself, telling the news outlet: "A lot of my older friends are starting to have babies and I've had two nieces on my husband's side in the last year, so it feels like there's a baby boom around me.
"They call me up and say, 'this happened, you know what to do,' but I've got no idea because my knowledge only goes up to 1959! But hopefully, one day, I'll be lucky enough to have children."
