Carol Vorderman lines up for a stint in the jungle

The line-up for this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has been confirmed, with hotly-tipped stars Carol Vorderman, Ola Jordan and Larry Lamb on the list.

Olympian Sam Quek, former England defender Wayne Bridge, Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, presenter and model Lisa Snowdon and actor Adam Thomas are also heading Down Under for the jungle show.

The ten-strong camp will be completed by comedian Joel Dommett and Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo, when the series returns to ITV on Sunday.

Former Countdown star Vorderman, 55, has been linked to the series for some time.

She said of signing up: "I know people will ask, 'Why does Carol need to do this?'

"But I have never ever paid attention to what others think. I make my own decisions. I like the show and want to do it.

"I have been watching the show for years and have laughed so much. It is so funny."

Other names that had been bandied around include radio presenter Danny Baker, Homes Under The Hammer host Martin Roberts and even Nigel Farage, but they are not among the final line-up.

The programme, hosted by Ant and Dec, sees the campers living in an Australian jungle camp in basic conditions for up to three weeks.

They have to compete in various stomach-churning challenges and Bushtucker Trials to win food and treats.

And show bosses have promised there will be "a whole host of brand new nasty surprises created just for them".

While any main changes to the upcoming series are under wraps, it is known that the ITV2 spin-off show has been renamed and will have new presenters and a new format.

I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp will follow the main ITV programme and will be hosted by former winners Joe Swash, Stacey Solomon and Vicky Pattison as well as comedian Chris Ramsey.

The new show will replace I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here Now, which was hosted by Swash, Laura Whitmore and David Morgan.

It will feature unseen clips, interviews and Bushtucker Trials.

The hosts will also compete in live studio games and will be joined in Australia by celebrity guests, including Ant and Dec, as well as other stars weighing in on the show from the UK.

Viewers will also be invited to join the debates via social media and the app as well as putting their questions directly to campmates in the studio once they have left the jungle.

:: I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! returns at 9pm on Sunday, November 13.
