Channing's footwork for the forest

Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan performed a steamy dance for stars at a charity concert in aid of the Rainforest Foundation.

Organiser Trudie Styler and husband Sting were among those in the audience at the Revlon Concert for the Rainforest at New York's Carnegie Hall as Channing and Jenna showed off their fancy footwork on stage, complete with close clinches and daring lifts.

The 21 Jump Street star and wife Jenna met on the set of dance movie Step Up in 2006.

Other highlights of the evening included Elton John singing Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend and Jennifer Hudson performing And I'm Telling You from her Oscar-winning role in Dreamgirls.

Roseanne Cash, Bruno Mars, Welsh opera singer Bryn Terfel and special guest Bill Clinton also took to the stage.

Clive Davis, Aretha Franklin and Tom Hanks were all in the audience, watching Tom's wife Rita singing. Later at dinner at the Pierre Hotel, some bid thousands of dollars for Forest Gump star Tom to record their voicemail messages, helping to raise millions for the foundation.
