Cheryl Cole has thanked fans for their support after the "weirdest past few weeks" which saw her lose her job on the US X Factor.
The singer, who was axed from the role only three weeks after it was first announced she had got it, wrote a message to her fans on her website.
She said: "Where do I start? I have had the weirdest past few weeks (nothing unusual there though.) I wouldn't even know how to begin to tell you all about it.
"What I do know for certain is that I have the BEST, most unbelievable people out there, who I feel so lucky to call my support system."
She thanked fans who had written or sent presents to her, adding: "You never fail to amaze me."
The star also said she was using her enforced break to "chill with loved ones".
She recently met up with ex-husband Ashley Cole, according to reports in this weekend's newspapers.
The couple, who married in 2006, separated last year.
