Northern Irish broadcaster Christine Lampard has been left “shaken and terrified” after an intruder targeted the £10million home she shares with ex-footballer Frank Lampard.
The Sun has reported the couple’s nanny confronted a man in the grounds of their home and yelled until he fled.
Christine and her husband were both at work at the time of the incident.
A source told the Sun: “It happened in broad daylight and could have been a lot worse.
“The nanny saw the man on CCTV and bravely went outside. She shouted, and Christine’s dog Minnie made a racket which helped scare him off. It has still left them shaken and terrified, especially Christine.”
A neighbour confirmed that the house was broken into two or three weeks ago and that the couple have now beefed up security precautions.
Christine, 39, is from Newtownards and works as the host of Loose Women.
She married ex-Chelsea footballer Frank in 2015.
