Cole to present TV arts series

Lily Cole is to become a TV arts presenter, visiting leading figures to watch them at work.

The model and actress, who has a degree in art history from Cambridge, will feature artists such as Dame Paula Rego and Tacita Dean in her programme Art Matters.

She will interview them about their life and work, as well as heading into some of their studios for the six-part series to be screened by Sky Arts.

Also featuring in the series will be Christo, best known for his huge environmental installations which have included wrapping Berlin's Reichstag.

Lily, who achieved a double first at Cambridge last year, has seen her on-screen profile increase with roles in The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus and Doctor Who, but this is her first presenting role.

James Hunt, director of Sky Arts, said it was a "unique opportunity to get up close and personal to some of the most intriguing, controversial and ground-breaking contemporary artists".
