Coleen Rooney hits back at bodyshamers after sparking pregnancy rumours on holiday
Coleen Rooney hasn't been going to the gym as much during the summer holidays.
Coleen Rooney has hit back at bodyshamers, insisting she isn't bothered by cruel remarks about her weight.
The 31-year-old WAG has recently returned from a family holiday to Portugal, where she sparked pregnancy rumours when trolls pointed out her rounded stomach. She denied the claims in a passionately worded tweet, and opened up about the claims during an interview with the Daily Mail Online.
Insisting she isn't worried by people making comments about her weight, Coleen said: "It doesn’t bother me. I have been in the public eye for a long time now so it doesn’t affect me.
"It would hurt me if it came from someone that’s important to me like friends or family but the people who are criticising me are probably a lot heavier than I am so it doesn’t bother me anymore. There’s probably someone who is 20 stone who is judging me online so I just ignore it."
Coleen, who is married to footballer Wayne Rooney, added that while such comments hurt her feelings when she was younger, she no longer lets them concern her.
"I don’t understand why someone would make negative comments criticising someone’s body. It used to annoy me when I was younger but I learned to just ignore it. It’s not worth it," she stated.
Coleen is mother to three sons, Kai, seven, Klay, four, and 18-month-old Kit, with Wayne. And she reveals the reason she has gained a little weight is because she's been making the most of spending as much time as possible with her boys during the summer holidays.
"I go to the gym around three times a week, I love Pilates but as it’s the summer holidays I’m focusing on spending time with the kids and enjoying being with them so I haven’t been in a few weeks," she smiled.
